what’s more fun and more effective than any self help book on the shelf?

I’m 40, and for the first time in my life, I have a hobby.

Something that brings me joy and satisfaction and contributes absolutely nothing to my mortgage.

I hope you are one of the lucky ones that experiences the magic of Ikigai. I hope your paychek and your passion are perfectly aligned. But don’t beat yourself up if you are not wildly in love with your job. Ikigai is a wonderful aspiration, but not always possible.

The daily grind will always exist.

BUT

If there is something you love to do, simply for the sake of doing it, no reward, no achievement, no likes or affirmation from others required, MAKE SPACE FOR IT!

Because passion cannot be contained and it spills over into the everyday.

(However, if there is ever an opening at Cirque du Soleil or Walt Disney On Ice for a very average, but very joyful adult skater, I will ditch this hobby ASAP!)
